Station 10 responded to a structure fire on Commanchee Road Thursday morning at 12:09am. All of the Fire-Rescue Units on the Westside of the County were dispatched. The call came in just after midnight. Upon the arrival of Law Enforcement the vacant home was fully engulfed. The State Fire Marshal was called out to investigate the cause of the blaze. This structure fire was extinguished by apparatus and personnel from Nassau County Fire-Rescue Stations 50, 60, 90, and 40 and volunteer stations 5, 9, 10, and 11. Station 10 responded with Tanker 10 and was able to provide several loads of water (2,500 gallons each) to the apparatus onscene.
